I am, as always, a sucker for any grey nail polish. Essie Take It Outside nail polish is described as a soft taupe with a hint of pink, but let’s be real here: it’s grey. A beautiful grey, possibly one of the nicest grey lacquers I’ve tried, but grey nonetheless.
Take It Outside is a smooth, opaque soft grey creme. I used two thin coats to achieve a smooth, glossy finish. A single coat was slightly patchy, but the second coat levelled the colour and evened it out. No streaks, no patches, just smooth flawless colour. Très bien!
Comparisons: Essie Cocktail Bling is more blue grey, Essie Sand Tropez is more beige, Butter London Yummy Mummy is much more brown, Color Club Silver Lake is lighter and brighter, Essie Maximillian Strasse-Her is more green-grey.
