Benefits of NARS Vent Salé lipgloss:
- Great to say in a really awful Australian accent. Vent sale. Go on, try it out. Vent sale. Heh.
Seriously though. Vent Sale is a sheer silver gloss from NARS Spring Colour collection, with a soft silver twinkle in a clear base. Vent Sale looks space futuristic in the tube – very Mass Effect – but applies as a sheer luminous sparkle that illuminates my lips without looking, well, space futuristic.
My complexion is quite cool and fair and my lips are a rosy pink naturally, so Vent Sale looks like a muted sparkling glaze on me. I’d be cautious of using this on deeper and warmer liptones as it may look super ashy over a bare lip. Keep it as a topper gloss to add some shine over full finish lipsticks, but skip wearing it as a basic gloss.
Vent Sale has a couple of lookalikes that I can think off the top of my head: not because there are so many silver lip products that spring to mind, but because they’re so rare! MAC Warp Speed Pro Longwear lipcreme (LE) is the first thing that springs to mind, although Warp Speed is more opaque and applies more noticeably silver. Vent Sale is also similar to Napoleon Perdis Love Birds gloss (LE), albeit with a more refined/less blingy look.
I’ve mentioned a couple of times before that I’m a big fan of NARS revamped lipgloss formula, and Vent Sale continues to deliver that same lightweight wearable shine. That ethereal silvery appearance in the tube might make Vent Sale seem somewhat unapproachable at first glance, but for those with fair skin it’s a surprisingly wearable twist on a basic clear gloss. Lovely!
