I’ve got a few thoughts about the relatively new-ish MAC Amberluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion eyeshadow palette, not all of them particularly positive, but while I try to marshal my thoughts into something coherent I thought I’d pop up a simple golden eye makeup look using the palette’s mix of gold and brown shadows.
Products used: Becca Eye Priming Perfector (Adore Beauty), MAC Amberluxe Veluxe Pearlfusion eyeshadow palette (MAC Cosmetics), Benefit They’re Real! mascara (Adore Beauty), Jane Iredale PureBrow clear brow gel (Adore Beauty).
- Prime the upper lid from lashline to brow with Becca Eye Priming Perfector, then use a narrow detailing brush to paint primer along the lower lashline.
- Use a damp brush to pick up the pale cream/white shadow in the Amberluxe palette, concentrating it on the inner corner of the eye. Using a soft fluffy blending brush apply the same colour as a sheer wash between the crease and brow.
- Apply the yellow gold shadow across the lid and along the lower lashline, and blend the middle bronze shadow into the outer corner top and bottom. Using a medium blending brush blend the peach orange shadow through the crease, pulling upwards and outwards.
- Finish with an application of the matte brown shadow into the outer lashline on upper and lower lids, then sweep Benefit They’re Real! mascara through curled lashes and set brows with Jane Iredale PureBrow clear brow gel.
