Who needs an excuse to wear a sassy pinky coral? Not me, that’s for sure. The Body Shop Rosy Cheeks nail polish is a powerfully punchy pink-based coral creme in a 5-free vegan friendly formula (no silk proteins and no carmine pigments) enriched with marula oil. Rosy Cheeks has a smooth glossy formula that applied easily in two thin coats with no bubbles or streaks. Lovely!
I was pleasantly surprised by the brush on this nail polish – it’s long enough to be flexible, short enough to be springy, with enough spread that the polish flowed smoothly but not so much ‘flop’ that the brush was difficult to control. Neato stuff.
Rosy Cheeks is part of the new (to Australia) Colour Crush nail polish collection, a 24 piece nail suite with colours that vary from sensible nudes and greiges through to saturated bottle greens and vibrant oranges. Unsurprisingly I’ve got my eye on Big Smoke, a medium grey, and Almond Kiss, a taupe nude. I’m also interested in The Body Shop’s new double ended nail art pen – I’m hopeless at nail art in general, but I feel like a few dabbing a few dots on my claws might be right about my speed.
