I feel like I’ve been bunkered down wearing nothing but taupe/neutral/grey shadows for the past six months which is, y’know, fine, but lately I’ve been feeling the need for colour. Not a huge amount of colour, mind you, but a little dab of purple or a dash of gold. I quickly popped together this eye look for an event a couple of weeks ago while I was horribly sick and feeling very out of it, so it’s definitely not my finest work, but hey! It’s a good start for the new season.
Products used: Too Faced Shadow Insurance (ASOS), MAC Vibrant Grape eyeshadow, MAC Digit eyeshadow, MAC Expensive Pink eyeshadow, MAC Brule eyeshadow, Napoleon Perdis China Doll gel eyeliner (Adore Beauty), Benefit They’re Real! mascara (Adore Beauty), Eyeko brow gel (ASOS).
- First I primed my lid with Too Faced Shadow Insurance from lashline to brow, then filled my upper lid with a sheer wash of MAC Brule eyeshadow.
- Then I applied MAC Digit eyeshadow through the inner corner of my eye and across my lid, blending it up through the crease.
- I then applied a swipe of Shadow Insurance along my lower lashline, then patted it with MAC Expensive Pink eyeshadow, keeping it messy and unstructured. The outer corner of my eye was filled with MAC Vibrant Grape shadow, concentrating the colour below the crease and pulling the colour along the lower lashline.
- Finally I finished the look with a dab of Napoleon Perdis China Doll gel eyeliner between my upper lashes, a swipe of Benefit They’re Real! mascara and Eyeko clear brow gel through my brow.
