Sometimes it’s nice to wear a sleepy, smudgy, sloe-eyed look, y’know? It’s a fresher take on a traditional smoky eye that swaps heavy dark shadows for lustrous warm shades of brown and taupe, and finishes with a low smudge of liner to create a long almond shape.
Items used: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Candlelight, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst, MAC Brule eyeshadow, MAC Starflash Go eyeshadow, MAC Gingersnap eyeshadow, Benefit They’re Real! Push Up Liner*, Benefit They’re Real! mascara (get it at Adore Beauty!), Eyeko Brow Gel, MAC Eye Brows Fling.
- I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance from lashline to brow, then applied Amethyst Caviar Stick across my upper lid before blending it out with a MAC 242 eyeshadow brush. I then smudged more Amethyst underneath my lower lid, keeping it loose and smudgy underneath my lashes.
- Then I set the Caviar Stick with MAC Go Starflash shadow, highlighted my upper brow with MAC Brule eyeshadow, and blended along my crease with MAC Gingersnap eyeshadow (find it in the MAC X 15 Warm Neutral palette).
- I then worked a low flat line of Benefit They’re Real! Push Up Liner along my upper lashes, and finished with a light application of Benefit They’re Real! mascara before grooming my brows with Eyeko brow gel and softly filling any gaps with MAC Fling brow stylo.
