Last week I raved – raved – about the new Patentpolish lip crayons from MAC (see my overwhelmingly positive thoughts about Go For Girlie here) and mentioned that I’d picked up a few more shades from the line to try. MAC Teen Dream Patentpolish Lip Pencil was an automatic scoop for me, ’cause like heck I’m gonna pass up on an orange makeup product.
Teen Dream is a clean coral-orange cream in a comfortable lightweight texture with a soft glossy finish. Teen Dream is the most pigmented of the Patentpolish lip pencils I’ve tried, erring on the high end of medium-to-high coverage. It requires a fraction more effort to apply than a lighter, sheerer because I need to be more thoughtful of colouring within my lipline (no beuno clown lips, you dig?), but it’s nothing that a second with the front-facing camera on my phone can’t solve.
Teen Dream lasts about 2-3 hours on me and leaves a soft flush of colour as it wears away. Paired up with a long wearing waterproof lipliner, however – praise be to Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in 17C Bright Orange – and it gives hours upon hours of hard-wearing boss-ass bitch orange realness.
