It’s time for a hair update update update. A few months ago I changed my lilac silver hair to a soft strawberry champagne colour – and when I say I changed it, I of course mean ‘I put my big dumb head into the excellent care of Emily at Original A who did all the hard work while I read a magazine’ – and it’s been a really nice change. The upkeep on it is so, so simple compared to the state of constant vigilance it took to keep silver/lilac/white hair from yellowing, and it’s a super flattering shade against my winter skin.
But, hey, you know me. I can’t leave well enough alone. I’ve been doing a sneaky dip-dye on the ends with a weak dilution of Brilliant Silver Rose (approx 4 drops per half litre of water) to create a soft champagne-to-pink effect that fades out over time and turns into a pretty shade of dusty rose. It’s a nice way of introducing some punchy colour to my hair without losing the soft overall ice cream pastel effect, and it’s not cartoonishly bright enough to draw a lot of attention. Nice!
What’s next on my hair colour wishlist? Who knows!
