Two feature nail manicures in two weeks? Heck yeah! I’m not gifted with steady hands and a lot of patience to do ultra detailed fancy nail art, but I can totally get behind a basic manicure with a simple highlight on my ring finger.
I’ve been doing a lot of manual labour the past few weeks and my hands are looking hella rough, so I kept it simple with Maybelline Onyx Rush nail polish, a clean jet black with very fine black pearl, and a single coat of Seed Heritage Silver Glitter nail polish on my ring finger.
I’ve long had a theory that the more affordable a nail brand is, the better their black nail polish is. Don’t beleive me? The big salon-name professional brands all do appalling black polishes that are thin and runny and require a billion coats to achieve full opacity, while brands that cost no more than a cup of fancy coffee will almost always have bangin’ rad black lacquers that only need one or two thin coats. Onyx Rush is a smooth two coater, deep and inky with just a barely perceptible touch of black-on-black pearl to give it a little extra dimension. Nice!
