A fast lip swatch post to end the week seems like a good idea, yeah? Revlon Tutti Frutti ColorBurst Lip Butter is a moist gel lipstick with a vibrant orange colour and no shimmer or sparkle. It applies with sheer to medium coverage and lasted around two hours on my bare lips. The lipstick itself has quite a strong vanilla scent so if you’re sensitive to perfumes, it may behove you to sniff before you buy.
Tutti Frutti is a super saturated medium orange with a touch of pink undertones in the tube, but on my lips I found that the colour went quite yellowy looking. My lips are naturally quite a rosy pink and tend to tint sheer colours a lot more pink, so the yellow undertone was a bit of a surprise development. I’ve since taken to wearing Tutti Frutti over my beloved Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in 17C Bright Orange which both keeps the lipstick a true bright orange and keeps colour on my lips for much, much longer than just a Lip Butter by itself.
A few quick colour comparisons if, like me, you own a billion orange/coral/peach/apricot lip products and have no idea if you’re on the fast track to DupeTown.
- Illamasqua Flare lipstick – strong yellow based orange
- MAC Morange lipstick – super-saturated bright orange
- Max Factor Amber sheer gloss balm – muted sheer brown-based orange
- Clinique Guava Good lip smoothie – pinky sheer coral.

Verdict: hey, you know I love me a good coral lipstick. Keep an eye out for the next Priceline sale and go nab yourself a tube.
