Coral! Who doesn’t like coral lip products? Fundamentally broken people, that’s who. This blog is officially a Coral Zone.
Topshop recently opened up in Sydney and I finally moseyed my way there after the worst of the crowds had died down. Topshop have a rather nifty colour cosmetic collection with a few seasonal items for variety, and I ended up picking up a tube of Glaze lip gloss in Laid Back.
Laid Back is a sheer reddish coral without any sparkles or glitter. It gives a nice wash of colour without being too overpowering; if you’re a chillaxed apply’n’go kind of gal/dude and don’t want to worry about lipliners or feathering, then this is a-ok for you. The gloss has a slight vanilla scent that fades quickly and isn’t sticky or goopy.
Comparison time! From top to bottom:

The whole Topshop colour cosmetic line is surprisingly reasonably priced. I was expecting an inflated AU$20-25 price range for a gloss but at only AU$12 a tube, they’re equal to the UK prices on Topshop’s web store. Is it sad that I’m impressed that there isn’t an immediate 200% price increase in an Australian retail outlet? Either way, Topshop have you sorted for a cheap cosmetic thrill. Nice!
