I’ve written about Clinique’s Chubby Sticks a couple of times before, and my opinion of them remains unchanged: they’re rad as heck. Chubby Sticks are a tinted gel balm with a bit of colour and a bit of shine packed into a chunky wind-up pencil. They’re not a sticky high shine gloss and they’re not a matte balm, and if you’re into low effort make-up then these are a blessing. No lipliner, no careful application – just slick it on and call it a day.

Clinique Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa
Mighty Mimosa is a light my-lips-but-better pink with a little touch of gold shimmer. It doesn’t give me disco lips or look blinged out in sunlight, but just gives the colour a little dimension and depth. I think this is fine as a daily work colour, because it’s fresh and ‘done’ without being too plain or dramatic. Just a good basic colour, you feelin’ me?

Clinique Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange
Whoops, I bought another orange lip product. Oversized Orange is a clean orange gel with some super, super subtle orange/gold shimmer. The shimmer barely noticeable on my lips and definitely doesn’t look overdone or sparkly.
I’m a big advocate of sheer orange lip colours because nothing wakes up your complexion like a little touch of orange. Nothing wild or over the top (in which case that’s your thing and if so, I have some lipsticks to show you) but sheer, light and wearable: the perfect pop of summer colour.
