The sun is shining, the weather is warming up and now it’s time to get your glow on! Silky subtle shimmer catches the light and gives dimension and lustre to your skin, so skip the glitter and embrace the power of a soft golden glow.
- NUXE Huile Prodigieuse (AU$24.95 for 50ml, selected independent pharmacies) is a lightweight dry body oil suitable for the most sensitive and reactive skin types. I used to love dry oils when they were around in the 90s but was super bummed when they all disappeared out of Australia in the early 2000s. NUXE’s Huile Prodigieuse smells like fresh picked flowers and is super silky on my dry skin. Apparently a bottle of this oil is sold around the world every six seconds, and honestly, I can understand why ’cause it’s super lovely. Available from October 1st.
- ModelCo Luminosity Shimmer Whip (AU$36 for 25ml, modelco.com.au) is a pearly highlighter in a squeezy tube with a pump applicator. A little bit goes an incredibly long way so I only use the tiniest dab added to my foundation or blended over my cheekbones. If I have any extra left over I pop it on my collarbones so it catches the light and gives some definition, or add it to my body oil or body lotion.
- Laura Mercier SPF20 Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser ($AU$59 for 50ml, adorebeauty.com.au) is a serious staple of mine. I’ve been wearing this in the shade ‘Bare Radiance’ for a year or two now and absolutely swear by it when I want that glorious lit from within effect on my (dry, occasionally dull) skin. Although it’s called a tinted moisturiser its really more of a foundation both in texture and coverage, so I treat it as such and apply it over my beloved Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer and set it with a dusting of translucent powder. I’m on my fourth tube of this and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon!
- NP Set Shimmer Highlight Duo in Peach/Pink (AU$25 for 3.5g, npsetcosmetics.com) is the most blinged out shimmer product in this post. The shimmer is quite spangly so so this is best kept as the ultimate high shine touch on a big night out. I suggest blending it into damp foundation and then set with foundation powder to soften the high shine down into a muted glow.
