Liptember is a month-long fundraising and sponsorship campaign for research on women’s mental health research, education and support. Funds raised from the sales of Liptember branded Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm, individual and corporate sponsorship, direct donations and fundraising events will be given to the Centre for Women’s Mental Health and Lifeline Australia.
Mental health research, support and education in Australia is given short shrift by the Australian government, and women’s mental health is often the afterthought to an afterthought. If buying a lip balm is all it takes to add a few dollars more to their astonishingly tiny pool of research funds, then I fully encourage you to buy a lip balm!
