You are getting sleepy. So very, very sleepy. Actually, no, you’re not getting sleepy, because it’s statistically probable that you’re reading this blog post while you’re at work and it’s probably best that you don’t gently nod off into your keyboard.
I, however, am getting sleepy. So very sleepy, ’cause at the time of writing this I’ve just toweled myself off from a a bath complete with the sleepy wonder of Lush Dreamtime Bath Melt.
Dreamtime bath melt is a creamy cocoa butter- and almond oil-based bar loaded with soothing chamomile, lavender, jasmine, sandalwood and a tiny hint of ginger. It’s not a super-duper overwhelming lavender, moreso an earthy floral note balanced by the chamomile and warmed up by ginger and sandalwood.
One bar equals three baths for me – I break it up because a little goes a long, long way, but also so I can make sure the bath isn’t overly oily. A small piece is enough to dispense enough cocoa butter and almond oil to hydrate my skin but not feel like a thick sludgy overcoat of grease. Any more and the bath – and me with it – turns into a greasy slip and slide.
If you’re more of a shower guy or gal, Dreamtime also makes for a handy moisturising bar. After you’ve lathered and sudsed yourself clean, grab Dreamtime and rub yourself down from neck to knee. You get all the moisture and all of the delicate herbal scent, but with none of the post-tub scrubbing. Handy! Just remember to store the bar out of the shower and on a raised soap dish so it doesn’t turn into a sludgy mess between showers.
Dreamtime bath melts from Lush are AU$8.50 for 30 grams, available from Lush stores and from lush.com.au. Lather up!
