Chanel Le Vernis 529 Graphite nail polish review, swatches, photos

Chanel Le Vernis - 529 Graphite

Chanel Le Vernis – 529 Graphite

Chanel Le Vernis nail polish in 529 Graphite is a gunmetal metallic polish studded with green and gold shimmer. The colour shifts slightly depending on the light and the angle you peep it, but mostly it sports a greasy, diesel-y look. You know how some polishes are so ugly they swing all the way back to attractive (the Ron Perlman effect applied to nail polishes, if you will)? Well, this graphite shimmer has that in shades.

Application was relatively painless. It was sheer in one coat, mostly full in two coats, and flawless in three thin coats. The wear time, however, was the usual shiteshow I’ve had with Chanel polishes. It chipped along the edges in a day and peeled by the second day, which makes this one heck of an expensive one day wonder. It’s just so right up my alley colour-wise though! What to do?

Chanel nail lacquers are AU$39 for 13ml. Graphite is available at all Chanel counters and make-up boutiques now.
