A few months behind the rest of the world, but the latest skincare launch from Yves Saint Laurent is ready to hit Australian stores from Sunday 6th May. Forever Youth Liberator, an eight piece collection of anti-aging skincare, focuses on glycans, aka naturally occurring sugars in the skin that maintain skin elasticity.
I’ve been using Nutri Creme, a plush velvety cream moisturiser for dry skin, for over a month now. Rich is the word, ’cause this ain’t no lightweight moisturiser. As we’re rolling into cooler weather and my skin starts to dehydrate at the drop of a hat, I need something with enough oomph to keep my skin from drying up into dust. This fits the bill perfectly, but like a lot of rich moisturisers it requires a little trial and error to get the best results – after much fine tuning I’ve discovered that the best way to apply this is when my skin is still damp, be that from washing my face or freshening my skin with the complimentary Forever Youth Liberator Cosmetic Water (AU$55/200ml). The extra moisture allows this cream to slide and spread further without ‘grabbing’ onto my skin, giving a smooth application of cream overall without any stickiness. It is a super dense cream though, so be prepared to put in a little elbow grease to work it in to a point where it isn’t sitting high on the skin.
YSL Forever Youth Liberator Nutri Creme is AU$145 for 50ml, available from leading Myer and David Jones stores and selected pharmarcies from Sunday 6th of May.
