Revlon Expressionists by Gucci Westman – Diamond Lust eyeshadows

Honestly, I’m super embarrassed at the Tumblr-worthy reaction I had when I first unwrapped these eyeshadows. I think I made a sound that only dogs could hear, then said the aural equivalent of an incoherent excited keyboard mash. I love shimmery, glittery eyeshadows. Love. Love like a bowerbird loves blue objects, like a magpie loves something shiny.
The five new Diamond Lust eyeshadows from Gucci Westman’s Expressionist autumn collection for Revlon have shimmer and sparkle in spades. The bowerbird, the magpie and me, all with our shiny objects d’amour.

  • Starry Pink – icy pink
  • Plum Galaxy – ruddy plum
  • Neptune Star – deep dirty teal

Revlon Diamond Lust - Night Sky

My pick of the bunch is Night Sky, a charcoal base loaded up with oodles of slightly holographic shimmer. Apply a black or charcoal base cream shadow across the lid, then apply Night Sky with a damp brush to create a deep lustrous finish. Finish with lashings of mascara and groomed brows and you’ve got one heck of a show-stopping smoky eye!

The formula of these shadows is a little tricky, so prep is the key to getting the best result. Always use an eye primer to lock the shadow into place and prevent a little glittery cascade of fallout onto your cheeks. To get the best application use a damp brush or sponge applicator to press the Diamond Lust shadows into place. Sorted!

Diamond Lust eyeshadows are AU$19.95 for .8g. The Impressionists collection by Gucci Westman is at Revlon counters across Australia now.

Please note: these items were a gift from Revlon.

My girlfriend got me the Night Sky shade for my birthday and I loved it so much I went out and bought the Neptune Star two days later. They’re so pretty!!

Maybe not for a day at the office but these shadows are divine at night – I love the Starry Pink because its not to much, beautiful

I’m a little bummed that Starry Pink is sheer even when foiled, yeah. I’ve fooled around with Celestial Silver a few more times since writing this a few weeks ago and the combination of damp brush + pressing into place + a super strong eye primer = METAL. It’s a bit of work, but on the other hand, METAL.

Do! They take a little bit of work to get the best finish, but boyhowdy. they’re just the cat’s pajamas when it comes to bling!

haha I went nuts when I first saw these at Priceline! However, swatching them gave me sadface. Not very pigmented, are they? :( Still your closeup of Night Sky is insanely pretty.
