Five under $35 is a series of posts about related products that are $35 and under. This week I’m trialling five facial cleansers that are perfect for skincare newbies or those looking to cut the clutter and simplify their skincare regime.
Dove – Fresh Touch Facial Cleanser
Day four of Five under $35 and I thought it was about time to go back to looking after my fellow normal-dry skin sisters. Dove Fresh Touch Facial Cleanser is a foaming cream cleanser designed for normal to dry skin. Despite the fact it’s a lathering cleanser – normally a no-go for dry skin due to how foaming cleansers can lift too much natural oil from the skin, leaving it tight and dry – the addition of 1/4 Dove moisturiser stops it from leaving my skin drum-tight and parched.
If you’re a Clarisonic user, have a peep at this as it’s a rare cream cleanser that plays nicely with a mechanical cleansing brush. Make sure the brush head is super soaked, add a little dollop of Fresh Touch Facial Cleanser, then apply to wet skin. Voila! Rich velvety lather without any stickiness or gluey gooey brush bristles. Winner.
Dove Fresh Touch Facial Cleanser is AU$7.36 for 110g, available from all good supermarkets, Priceline and pharmacies across Australia.
