Estee Lauder – 28 Teal Topaz nail lacquer swatch
Estée Lauder’s Teal Topaz is a soft teal cream nail polish without any shimmers or sparkles. The teal is cut with the tiniest note of cloudy grey, making what could easily be a cartoonishly bright topaz into a surprisingly wearable, adult shade of nail polish.
Application was nice and simple – two coats gave full smooth colour, with no pulling or bald patches. I suggest being very judicious with applying your base coat evenly all over the nail plate, as I noticed some slight teal staining where I overlapped colour onto naked nail.
I wore Teal Topaz for the best part of a week and it was surprising how often people commented on it. I get a fairly consistant amount of, ‘hey, what’re you wearing, that looks neat’ comments, but I was slightly taken aback by how many complete strangers got excited about the colour and demanded to know what it was. What can I say? Sydney loves a strong feature nail!
