L’Occitane – limited edition Delice des Fruits balm and Delice des Fleurs glosses swatches
Have I already said that I’m a sucker for little Christmas limited edition goodies? If I haven’t, well: I am a true sucker for Christmas limited edition goodies. I’m only a recent convert to L’Occitane – read about my adventures with L’Occitane’s organic almond tonic body oil – but I’m starting to get into the expensive habit of deviating past the L’Occitane stand in Myer Sydney to see what’s new. When I eyeballed these darling L’Occitane Délice des Fruits balm and Délice des Fleurs gloss tins, well… you know what happens next!
Délice des Fruits balm is a creamy, clear balm with a decent amount of shine. I’ve been alternating between keeping this tin at my office desk as a no effort lip moisturiser, and wearing this over lip stains. It gives a more flattering finish than a bare stain by itself, but it’s not as showy and intensifying as a regular high shine gloss. The scent is extremely light as to be almost non-existent, and this balm has little to no flavour.
Délice des Fleurs Rose gloss looks insanely bright in the tub, but applies as a soft rosy flush on the lips. There’s a touch of shimmer in the pot which enough to add a little lustre, but definitely not enough to create Disco Lips. This gloss has a slightly sugary taste and subtle rose scent. I’m particularly fond of the texture of this balm, as it reminds me somewhat of Korres lip butters but without the greasy feeling.
I admit I wasn’t too sure about Délice des Fleurs Violette gloss as I have a somewhat, uh, unfortunate history when it comes to wearing purple-tinted products on my lips. Fair complexion + lips that don’t have a great deal of natural pigment + purple colours = wow, that is super unflattering. Violette bypasses this by its sheer, delicately shimmery nature, but I admit that I haven’t been reaching for it quite as much as the Rose gloss. Pink for life, what can I say?
Délice des Fruits balm and Délice des Fleurs glosses are AU$12.95 for 9g and 5g respectively. L’Occitane is available from Myer, David Jones and selected boutiques and pharmacies, and from au.loccitane.com. Gloss on!Tweet

These look so pretty, I’m a sucker for these cute tins though admittedly I hate balms in pots/tins, the whole digging my finger in just gives me the heebie jeebies :P
Gosh I’ve been a bit of a comment-whore on your blog lately haha.
Do love these L’Occitane lip balms though, they look really pretty. My mum is obsessed with their skincare range – it’s the only thing that’s been soothing her sensitive skin latley :)
