I like how The Hunt for Red October has essentially turned into ‘Lara tries things from brands she has never used before and, oh, also those things are red’. Always on the quest for something new and braving unexplored frontiers, me! Now we can cross Chi Chi off the list of brands I’ve never used before.
Chi Chi – Raven Hot
Raven Hot nail lacquer is a mid-tone hotrod red with subtle golden shimmer. The formula is pretty rock solid – thin enough to apply easily, thick enough that it holds a nice clean line and doesn’t flood your cuticles if you even look at funny. The pigmentation is the real rockstar here as Raven Hot is a one coat wonder – one coat gave full coverage with no bald spots, nail lines or pulling. Freakin’ magical, I tell you.

Hi there!
I own several Chi Chi products and they are all fairly good quality. I have tried 4 of the Chi Chi nail polishes, and the I love the colour range, but the issues I have is the chippage! They chip after 2-3 days of wear, and that’s with a decent top coat.
I’d love to know how this polish wears on you. Let me know if you have any secrets on how to make it last at least 5 days without chipping!

I’m utterly obsessed with all things red, so I will definitely have to follow your “Hunt”! This polish looks really nice, chi chi stuff is so reasonably priced it’s hard to resist!
