Fact: I tend to avoid red glosses. They’re either too dark and leave me in a state of mild paranoia that they’ve smeared and left me with Clown Mouth, or too pink, or any number of random other small factors that leave me instead reaching for sheer coral gloss #8348347. Hey, I never said I avoided red gloss for a rational reason.
Burt’s Bees Super Glossy natural lip shine in Zesty Red is a 100% natural gloss studded with red and copper shimmer. It looks deceptively dark in the tube but when applied to the lips is a just-been-kissed sheer wash of flushed colour with just a little sparkle here and there.
The tube is a slant-tip applicator that deposits a decent amount of product directly onto your lips. If you’re a heavy glosser you may need to tidy up the edges of your lips in case it builds up a little, but if you have a light hand then you’re golden.
One part of the packaging that I’m particularly thrilled with is that Super Glossy comes with a plastic seal. So many unboxed glosses have nothing more than a paper seal to act as a safeguard against tampering and, to be honest, it’s not much of a deterrent for a particular type of shopper/compulsive product opener. At least with a hardy twist’n'crack seal I can be more confident that I’m buying a fresh, untainted tube of glossy goodness.
Burt’s Bees Super Glossy natural lip shines are AU$17.95 for 14g. Burt’s Bees products are available at burtsbees.com.au, Myer, David Jones, major pharmacy chains and selected retailers. Gloss on!

Oh that tip is a great idea! And I love the shimmer throughout this gloss. I love red glosses, even though I’m always nervous about smudges I always get compliments when I wear a glossy red lip:)

I used to wear red lipstick and gloss constantly but I swear I’ve become so lazy in the past year. From lipstick to gloss to basically wearing nothing but balm day in, day out.
The downside of getting old and boring :v
