Lush – Fizzbanger bath ballistic

“Close your eyes. You are now bathing in a giant apple pie.”

Lush - Fizzbanger

Lush – Fizzbanger

Lush, hire me to write your product copy. I am both snappy and truthful: Fizzbanger bath ballistic from Lush is a big ol’ apply, cinnamon-y festival of slowly dissolving yum. Apple and cinnamon is one of my few concessions to liking sweet fragrances, and this has that kind of warm, comforting baked apple scent that makes me all starry-eyed and ready to dig through the freezer in case there’s a box of Sara Lee’s finest in there somewhere (unlikely, but hope is a harsh mistress).
The pale yellow outer shell fizzes away to reveal a baby blue interior, the two parts tinting the water a delicate soft green. The colours aren’t particularly intense so have no fear of it staining your bathtub enamel. The ingredients list makes particular mention of poprocks candy in the mix, but I can’t say I noticed them in any of the three Fizzbangers I’ve purchased and used this past week. Hidden in the middle of the bomb itself is a cute little scrap of paper with a cartoon BANG! sign on it, perfect for sticking on your forehead as you blandly hold a conversation with your other half and watch as he tactfully wars with himself whether to mention it or not.

I don’t know if Lush have changed their bath ballistic formula lately – is there even anything in there that could be greatly changed? – but I’ve noticed that my skin gets a lot less irrritated by the past few bombs I’ve purchased. If so: good game, Lush. About time!

Ingredients courtesy of lush.com.au: Sodium Bicarbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate), Citric Acid (Citric Acid), Fizzy Candy (Fizzy Candy), Cream of Tartar (Potassium bitartrate), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), Cinnamon Leaf Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Petitgrain Oil (Citrus Aurantium amara), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Cocamide DEA (Cocamide DEA), Lauryl Betaine (Lauryl Betaine), Coumarin (Coumarin), Eugenol (Eugenol), Linalool (Linalool), Perfume (Perfume), Colour 42090 (Colour 42090)

I snaffled this bath ballistic from Lush QVB for AU$6.74 for 180g. Fizzbanger ballistics are available at all Lush stores now, or you can buy directly from lush.com.au. Fizz on!

  1. I work at Lush, and Fizzbanger is one of my favorite things in the store!

  2. Ohhh wow this sounds amazing

  3. MM nommy, my gal pal baked a cherry and apple pie for me the other day it was so damn good! Must hunt this one down, tomorrow perhaps. Have you tried the mrs whippy one (think it’s called that) it’s really creamy and softening :)

    • I’m sorry, I stopped at ‘cherry and apple pie’ and suddenly find myself unable to keep reading…

  4. Am such a Lush bath fiend, I’ve tried most but not this yet, warm apple pie bath what more could you want except maybe eating a slice of pie whilst in there!

    • Ditch the apple pie, get someone to shake you up an apple & cinnamon martini instead!
