Antioxidant Hydramist by Dermalogica is like a pep-talk for your skin. A multi-use spray (it’s a toner! it’s a refresher!), this mist is perfect for giving dry, flagging skin a good swift kick and bringing your glow back.
For the past two months Antioxidant Hydramist has been doing a small circuit in between my gym bag, my work bag and my desk. Let me dish the skinny as to why this product will never find a comfortable resting place for as long as I’m using it:
- Gym bag: there’s that moment when you’ve finished a work-out and you duck into the bathroom to splash a little water on your face and you glance into the mirror… oy vey. I don’t know what it’s like for you fit and healthy gymrats, but this chubbster ends up every gym session looking uncannily like a bedraggled tomato. A splash of water to remove the excess salts and minerals left behind by sweat and a generous dose of Antioxidant Hydramist is enough to calm my skin and keep me trucking until I can get home and do a full cleanse and moisturise.
- Work bag: I work in that special kind of environmental hell known as Department Store Airconditioning. The air is harsh and bone dry, and it takes a special kind of black magic with face primers and desert-strength moisturisers to prevent your skin looking visibly dehydrated after only a few hours. Every now and then I pop off my glasses, gently mist my face with a little Antioxidant Hydramist and suddenly I stop looking like a wizened old apple. It plays nicely with my make-up as well, so that’s a bonus!
- My desk: after eight hours at a stretch parked up in front of a bank of computer monitors and squinting into a Cintiq drawing tablet, you’d be desperate to apply something cooling and refreshing to your moon-tanned nerdy face as well. Used in combination with a walk outside to breathe in some fresh air, it makes for a neat little wake up call when you’re taking a break from
playing Portal 2 for an entire Saturday afternoonwork.
Yes. Yes, I am very enthusiastic about a face mist.
