Fact: this is the first Benefit product I’ve purchased in nearly ten years. I haven’t been skipping the brand for any great reason, just a factor of my eye either being caught by other products, the item I want being out of stock when I go to buy it (the great High Beam drought of 2008, what was the deal with that?) and a general nagging sense that Benefit didn’t really have much to offer the PPP section of the beauty market.
But hey. I’m flexible and open to new ideas. As long as a Snooki-esque salesgirl doesn’t paint me up with You Rebel again and desperately try to cover up the fact that it comes out neon orange on this ghostgirl, Benefit and I will start tentatively seeing each other.
Benefit’s Full Finish lipstick in Pillow Talk is a creamy, rich bubblegum pink with fine pearly shimmer. The texture is like the lovechild of a gel lipstick and MAC’s Amplified Creme lipstick – an easy, workable combination of colour and cream without being too opaque or greasepaint-y. The coverage isn’t 100% straight away, with one swipe giving maybe 75% opacity.
The wear time is right on average for a lipstick of this texture: it wore down smoothly over a few hours without eating or drinking, but didn’t survive a cup of coffee particularly well. Like I said, bang on average.
Mmm, slightly sweaty lipstick.
Benefit Full-Finish lipsticks retail for AU$34 and can be scored from Benefit counters at major Myer stores or their boutique store in Paddington.

It’s just a big ol’ mess of cute :3
It would absolutely suit you as well! It’s within the same postcode as Atomic, but nowhere near as full-on intense. So much less challenging to wear too.
