Bloom – Toni nail lacquer

Hoy boy. You know how we all like to write off sloppy application jobs with a haha, I applied this at 2AM and oh boy, it sure looks like it comment? Well, welcome to a genuine 2:45AM nail application. For someone half asleep, I think I did a reasonably ok job. At least I didn’t blearily try to wipe it on my eyebrows, right? Right! Always looking for the positive, I am.

Bloom - Toni

Bloom – Toni

Toni nail polish from Bloom is a crisp, clean pale greige cream. Although Bloom list this as a sheer, I’m going to be contrary and say you could reasonably list this as an opaque – pictured above is two average coats, and you can see the clear delineation between one coat and two on the lower edge of my pinky nail. If you’re a little cack-handed at applying pale creams (which I am, trust me!), a third coat for luck may be needed to get a really smooth, glossy finish.

My poor wrecked hands aren’t doing Toni a great deal of justice – the colour is crisp and clear without leaning noticeably white. In some lights the colour looks like a true bone shade, but mostly the slight tint of grey keeps peeping through and giving it a subtle gritty edge. It’s a fine on-trend colour if you prefer not to let your nails do the talking for you, and it’s definitely a suitable summer update on the autumn/winter urban greige trend.

Bloom polishes retail for AU$19.95. Find a full list of international stockists at BloomCosmetics.com!
