OPI Burlesque collection – Take The Stage

Last week I swatched Rising Star and blithely promised that I’d swatch it ‘tomorrow’ – well, uh, it’s only been four or five days. We’re still cool though, right?

OPI - Take The Stage

OPI – Take The Stage

Take The Stage from OPI’s Burlesque holiday collection is a rich orangey copper foil. The colour is lush and saturated, and the easiest way to describe it for make-up mavens is that it is akin to MAC’s Coppering or De-Vil eyeshadows in nail polish form.
It applies out to a super smooth metallic particle finish which, joy of joys, doesn’t show any brush marks. I’d suggest waiting a minute or two between thin coats though, because if this polish catches on itself and pulls, it’s basically impossible to ever hide the uneven result (see: my ring finger).

I haven’t purchased any of the other Burlesque polishes: between duplicates, being a bit burnt out on jelly reds and, shock of shocks, a bit over glitter nail polishes in general, nothing really sang out to me. Oh dear.
