I do have a few bits from Venomous Villains here to share with you, but having family staying over in the same spare room as your home office and lightbox makes it a tad hard to get some swatches done! Stick with me, I’ll eventually have them all up :D
MAC – Formidable!
Formidable! is a duochrome nail polish that slides from teal to a deep bruised berry depending from which angle you look at it. Occasionally I see little flecks of pure red or grassy green, but that’s more of a fluke than an actual part of the colour mix.

My hands are pretty wrecked at the moment – a nice combination of stress and using a lot of solvents lately for my various design projects have turned them into the dainty fingers of a 60 year-old woman who doesn’t own handcream – but even allowing for that, this polish ain’t the most flattering thing I’ve ever used. The bruised berry tone just brings out the worst ruddy tones in my fingers, something I really don’t care to emphasise. On yellow- and 0live-toned skin though, Formidable! would look absolutely killer.
Any thoughts? I grabbed this polish because I never ended up getting any of the Orly Cosmic FX collection and this is exactly the same as Galaxy Girl, but I now know I didn’t really miss out on much!
