Butter LONDON – British Racing Green nail lacquer

Butter LONDON - British Racing Green

Butter LONDON – British Racing Green

I am a bit of a slight motoring tragic. I have a weakness for British motoring marques, particularly from the more substandard eras of British motor engineering, namely the mid-70′s. I always watch Aston compete in Le Mans. I may or may not have seriously debated buying a clapped out Bentley T2 (the poor man’s Bentley), if that gives any indication of how terrible I am about all this. In light of this slightly shameful revelation, how could I pass up Butter LONDON’s nail lacquer in British Racing Green?

British racing green is, of course, any dark mossy, forest or hunter green livery sported by British motorsport teams, so Butter LONDON was bang on the mark with this polish. It’s a rich forest green with fine microshimmer, put together in a high coverage formula that only required two coats to get full opacity. It did dry a full shade darker than in the bottle, so keep that in mind when you’re matching colours.

As an aside, I was applying this as my partner and I watched an old Top Gear dvd. He nudged me, nodded at the screen and said that I was sporting a manicure to match Richard Hammond’s disasterous old Triumph Dolomite ‘Dolly’ Sprint.

Oh dear.

Oh dear.

He was right. Oh dear.

  1. How much glitter do you see in this? It looks vey glittery in the bottle.

  2. I love Top Gear! The bf and I watch it every Friday night (not that we get it here in the States, we have to download it). I am sure poor Richard Hammond would love this color. hahaha.

    • We love it as well! We’ve been watching it ever since the new version started years ago.

I have to confess though, I’m not a huge Hammond fan. May is more my speed ;)
