Speed Dial is a slightly cool pink creme lipstick in a Cremesheen formula. Cremesheen, in my eyes, is just a slightly retooled version of the Amplified Cream formula – very high to full coverage in a creamy finish. Cremesheens, like Amplifieds, tend to be a little thick and work best when applied with a lip brush. The swatch above was applied straight from the tube, and you can see the slight patchiness this application leaves behind. Applied with a brush over a lipliner base or a thin dryish lipbalm though, the results are smooth and creamy and wear down smoothly.
To my eye Speed Dial is very similar, if not identical, to Bombshell (blue-toned pink with golden pearl). I’ve actually run out of Bombshell – one of the few lipsticks I’ve used to the very end! – but once I accrue enough Back 2 MAC empties to get a new tube of it I’ll do a comparison post for you all.
