MAC Mineralize Skin Finish MSF in Petticoat (swatch & review)

MAC - Petticoat

MAC – Petticoat

MAC Petticoat MSF is a mixture of rich plum, creamy shell pink and gold that combine to create an earthy peachy shimmer with a strong warm base. The MSF pictured above is from way back in spring 2006; later versions have much less plum veining and are a lot more glittery.

Swatch – Petticoat

Swatched on bare skin, one swipe. You can see what I mean about having quite an earthy base to it. Unfortunately that brown undertone makes this nearly impossible for me to wear with my fair, pink-toned skin, so unfortunately Petticoat has been relegated to a back drawer. It’s certainly lovely on medium-toned olive skin, and makes for a lovely sweep of colour across the eye on darker skintones.

Petticoat is soon to be repromoted in MAC’s In The Groove collection, out July this year.
