I thought these would make a nice duo post – Korres Peach blush is often cited along with MAC Peachykeen as being a less wallet-intensive dupe for NARS Orgasm, and on first glimpse they’re pretty close in the pan. Orgasm has more gold frost immediately visible, but generally they’re rather close to each other.
Once they’re swatched out, however…
Blammo. Totally different. Peach is the top swatch and that slightly warmer base really plays up and, funnily enough for something called Peach, it turns slightly apricot on me. The gold frost is more of a subtle burnished effect, not a bright shimmer.
The brighter pink undertones in Orgasm really come out and so does the gold pearl – when viewed under bright light it really does get rather frosty and blingy. I can’t imagine how crazy Super Orgasm with it’s outright glittery flakes must look on a summer day!
So there you go – virtually identical in the pan, very different in the pan. If you have a warmer skin tone, give Korres Peach a try.
Unrelated to the above, but the Korres blush has a much better texture than the NARS blush. It’s very silky and soft, but not crumbly or flaky. Sometimes NARS blushes feel like such a battle to get some powder up onto your brush without having to scrub like crazy at the blush, or they just seem to flake and sparkle off everywhere but your cheek. If you can get past the decidedly tatty looking packaging of Korres products, they do have some very nice blush colours.
